It definitely will be on ESPN+ (the streaming service). It would be very dumb for them to also televise it on the “usual” ESPN, so I doubt that will happen. The undercard fights will be on ESPN, but the main fights (this fight, Lopez, etc.) will be on ESPN+ only.

 

I never understood people calling Kovalev “mentally ruined” after the Ward losses. Was/is it wishful thinking or what? Kovalev never in fact admitted those losses. In his opinion, he won the first (Ward) fight and was lowblowed in the second. He did admit that Alvarez beat him, but considers that to be lucky. So, you can call Kovalev overconfident, even delusional (it could be the case) but to me he is almost as confident as he ever was. His body (it could be argued that partially his skills as well) is the problem not his mind.

Regarding this fight in particular, I will bet on Kovalev. But I’m not sure he will win. I think he will be extremely dangerous for Alvarez in the first part of the fight, but I also see the current champion stopping Kovalev in the second (or at least dropping him and winning by UD). Whatever the case, this should be a very good fight!
