Kovalev and his fans are hypocrites.

Remember when Kovalev fought on the undercard of Stevenson vs Bellew on HBO?
They were supposed to fight each other next. Stevenson chose to run to Al Haymon. When they were both on the same network, Stevenson chose to go elsewhere.
Say the fight went to bids and Main Events won or RocNation bid on it and won. Would Stevenson fight on HBO or would he drop the belt like Quillin did when Haymon lost that purse bid to RN?
Haymon is paying money out of his own pocket for his guys to fight on PBC networks.
Do you think he will allow Stevenson to go fight on HBO PPV?
Kovalev is contracted to have his fights broadcast on HBO. Stevenson fights on PBC networks.

The potential outcome of Stevenson's side losing the purse bid is off the table, since Main Events evidently did not want the fight enough to even risk it. Michel certainly sounded prepared to accept the results of the purse bid and allow the fight to go to whichever network brought the most money as well. There is no reason for you to bring up hypotheticals like a purse bid loss for Stevenson unless you want to shift the blame away from Main Events walking away.

What happened when RocNation won the bid for Quillin vs Korobov and were going to put the fight on HBO?

How is that the least bit relevant to Stevenson, who is a network free agent? If the concern is that he'd back out the fight, then shouldn't Main Events have called his bluff and gotten him stripped if such an outcome was so inevitable?

Kovalevs camp stated there would be no network issues because Kovalevs contract with HBO ended with the Pascal fight. So Kovalev knowing that the purse bid dictates what network the fight would be on signed another exclusivity deal with HBO. So your point is pointless.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a duck by Team Kovalev, I hate Stevenson and Kovalev's one of my favourite fighters but when it's as obvious as this you gotta call it like it is.

Exactly, but Kova****s are dumb as ****, and I'm a big Kovalev fan. The hypocrisy is unbelievable, they keep bringing up **** that happened 2 years ago instead of addressing the problem. Either way going to shotime was clearly a good financial move for Stevenson. Kovalev has been calling Stevenson a ducker for how long now? Stevenson did 1.8m last fight against Sakio fking Bika on Saturday noon, not even night which is more than Kovalev has ever done. People screaming that Kovalev is the A side and should get all the terms are just straight up morons that hate Haymon, and Stevenson.

:deal In fact he got shafted, he would have gotten that Haymon money if the fight happened on PBC.

This was a duck move by HBO and Main Events.

Kovalev needs to blow off the Stevenson fight for a payday like Ward or Froch... Dirrell at a catch-weight could work... After Hopkins in his division he shouldn't waste his time. The money isn't with Stevenson...

Thankyou! I'm also a Kovalev fan but this is ridiculous. He should of stipulated in his contract with HBO that the winner of the purse bid would choose network. Maybe that would of gotten HBO to bid high. Or he could of fought Stevenson for a career high payday and then signed up with HBO again later.

No its not. You just don't understand how purse bidding works. You just made an outright conclusion that since Duva pulled out of the purse bid its already a duck. If you are Kova and you'll get 25 cents of the dollar while The ****** gets 75 would you sign the dotted line? Jesus Focking Chirst you guys are dumb :patsch
