Maybe i'm just one soft *******, but i thought the story of Kovalev's relationship with his manager, Egis Klimas, was quite a touching one. Klimas lost money for years supporting Kovalev, paying him a wage and sticking with him as one major promoter after another shunned them both and wouldn't even take a look at Sergey fight. Kathy Duva quoted Klimas as telling her that he believed in his fighter in every way and that he just needed the chance to prove himself. Klimas seems a guy who actually loves his fighter more than money, an absolute rarity in boxing. I thought it added a lot to the 24/7 programs that had become staged and boring with Floyd Mayweather.
Found it difficult not to like Kovalev - been the same every time they have promo interviews with him.
