Not a bad opponent to prepare for Ward. Not that they're all that similar but he's a negative boxer who can frustrate guys. Hopefully that means we get Ward/Shabranskyy too.
Good to see the Krusher staying active. Now Ward needs to get himself a fight for the summer so we can the big fight on in the fall.
[yt]5atPYaxX0lM[/yt] Maxim Vlasov almost KO'd Chilemba with a straight Right, a little bit of a dud fight if I'm being perfectly honest. Chilemba won't last 5. [yt]NZllP2zyaB4[/yt]
Pretty weak choice by Kovalev. Chilemba is ridiculously average. Surely there were better options for a stay busy fight?
Maybe but the point is that Chilemba is a spoiler, awkward and hard to time so a good preparation for Ward at least for a tune-up fight. Plus he is tough and never been stopped before
Chilemba is a good fighter and he's slick and tricky. Even if you beat him he'll give you a really hard night's work and make you look bad. The 2 draws on his ledger should really be wins for him by all accounts. I know he was definitely robbed against Bellew in their first encounter because I watched it and I've heard he was also robbed against Oosthuizen as well. His MD loss against the unbeaten Eleider Alvarez in Canada last time out was razor close as well.
