Stevenson signs lucrative new network deal: Stevenson is ducking Kovalev.

Kovalev signs new network deal unlikely to net him as much as a purse bid fight on the open market: Stevenson is ducking Kovalev.

Too bad it sounds like a fight Kovalev and his team don't want, as indicated by their repeatedly walking away from it.

Don't blame Stevenson for Kovalev walking away from a guaranteed career high payday because of "currency fluctuations."

Kovalev would be confident going into this fight and for good reason. He would make Stevenson look average. Stevenson has very good power but he is a bit of a plodder. Kovalev would need to not get caught early and wear Stevenson down. If he does this he will KO Stevenson. If he gets into a slug fest with Stevenson early, flip a coin. But Kovalev is definitely not ducking this fight. On the other hand, I don't think Stevenson wants anything to do with Kovalev.

Why do you think Kovalev was on the same card with Stevenson back in 2013...on HBO?
When there were no obstacles between them, Stevenson ran in the opposite direction.

They both ducked each other now, first it was Stevenson now it's Kovalev.

There were no obstacles from the Pascal fight up until yesterday, yet Main Events walked away from purse bids while Kovalev was a free agent and has erected a new obstacle in the form of his HBO contract.

Yup I remember that, Kovalev knocked sillakh out in two, while Stevenson struggled with Bellew

Max asked him about a Kovelev fight, and his response was happy New Years, dispute the fact that it was November

He doesn't want to risk getting KO'd by Stevenson or Beterbiev

Why fight those guys, when you can just knock out featherfisted fighters and get nice pay days

Its a smart move but hes hurting his claim to being the top guy at 175

Yeah that was Stevenson not wanting to risk getting KO'd by Kovalev

And he was rightly criticized for it

Now its Kovalev doing it, and he deserves criticism too

you can run but you can't hide kovalev is using manny pacquiaos tactic try and wait for the fighter to get old to fight them. stevenoson would put kovalez in a comma. knock his racist ass back to russia:deal

all stevenson has to do is stay busy and keep winning and the coward kovalez will eventually have to sign the fight.
