Kovalev isn't going to jeopardise the fight and get into a huge confrontation with Ward outside of the ring. Kovalev is a professional and knows that he wouldn't be able to put up with Ward talking back without driving Ward's nose through the back of his skull.

He'd rather wait until June to let his actions do the talking inside the ring.

We need to accept what we see as truth is different this interview does not prove he is a racist.....when you point out cultural fighting/boxing habits and particular fighter traits from a particular region of the world it isn't racist. Like I mentioned before you are making determinations based on your personal perspective and intpretaion that I've deemed incorrect especially knowing that I have a tighter grasp of the message based on my deeper experience in this country. Strategic approaches to fights start with an analysis of fight culture positive traits and negative ones every fighter has built their style from a foundation and apperception of boxing fundamentals and Hunter merely emphasized that they notice certain fighters have certain habits. Again I apologize for the harsh reality but I disagree with you whole heartily. The video proves Hunter is a bigot. He isn't breaking down styles or habits, because there is no evidence of a consistent trend of Russian fighters quitting. There was no 'I believe or I think he just went on the attack with a blanket statement insulting All Russians. He even throws in Wladimir Klitschko for good measure even though he is about as Russian as Donald Trump.

If this was an isolated comment, then we could give Hunter the benefit of the doubt, but the fact that he consistently puts in these sly racial slurs, says to me that Hunter has a problem with certain people alongside Ward.

If I seriously believed that kovalev was being out of line, I'd have no hesitation in highlighting it. However like I've stressed before, he is coming from a position of having to deal with a man who stole his belts, threatened to go back on his word regarding the contract and then made a new one so he could pocket more money.

The scales of justice are weighing in Kovalve's favour due to being on the receiving end of unjustified treatment from Ward's camp alongside the issue with the judges. Maybe he could have handled it more gracefully, but this is a fighter and so it's understandable he is going to be angry, but this is righteous indignation, rather than anger that is for angers sake.

I have no problem with fighters skin colour, it doesn't even register, rather it is their words and actions I have a problem with. I've gone off tangents heavily criticising the likes of Tyson Fury for his bigotry, yet apparently I only criticise black fighters!

I'm not going to give a pass on something inexcusable just because they are black or white. If there is reason to doubt or it is not clear then yes there is reason to overlook. But when you have video recordings, interviews of someone going off on racist rants or insulting an entire nation, then how can you defend it?

There is no doubt that Mayweather was being racist to Manny, he called the man ''a little yellow chump'' and said he'll make him cook him sushi roll, rice and kill dogs which is insulting Asian culture.

Ward and Hunter are both on record stereotyping russians and basically calling them alcoholics.

As far as PBF what he said was "young chump" which is a known saying but let's say he did say "yellow chump" that could refer to him being yellow which in boxing is a saying a sign of cowardice and PBF might have felt Pac was a coward because he wouldn't fight him. He could have meant "yellow chump" as a slur but I chose to give him the benefit of the doubt you know like you did with Kovalev with the whole ape thing. I take no glee from the fact that Mosley is now suffering from the side effects. He is a legend of the sport and I hold him in high regard as he conducts himself impeccably. But there is no escaping the law of cause and effect.
