I think people forget that a lot of fighters take advances from managers and promoters. Thats how a lot fighters end up being broke. These people want their money back plus interest. PAC in the Morales Rematch got a $2 million purse, but his cut was only about $300,000.

This. I remember even Floyd Mayweather had to file bankruptcy not too long ago due to debt. A lot of fighters give away most of their purse before the fight even starts.

if no one you root for can beat him, spew **** about finances? do these fighters you root for have you on the payroll? if not, why would you care what they make?

 

Non self promoted fighters receive between 300k-320k for every million made after taxes and fees. Makes it much better if you live in a state or fight in a state without state income taxes (Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington and Wyoming)

If you are self promoted (Mayweather, Klitschko, and a few others) you keep more of the money obviously.
