I said "bigger" muscles, not "muscle at all". Josesito Lopez hits harder than Bradley but who has more muscles? Technique plays a bigger part. Sure, muscles help, but that's not entirely what helped Marquez. It was a combination of things. If I bulk up it doesn't mean I can run faster because I have more muscle in my legs. It's foot placement, most of the punching power comes from your legs.

Edit: I would say force comes from your muscles, like a push or punching through something. Muscle can make you heavy handed. I guess it all plays a part in "power". Not saying your wrong, I actually didn't initially read your entire post.

that extra muscle *could* help him generate more power - if he trains smart, doesnt compromise his technique, gets the muscle gains in the correct places maintains his flexibility etc.

I feel in that case bigger muscles could make him hit harder.

Somewhat misunderstanding, I wasn't disagreeing with you. I was just being stubborn, I actually completely agree with you.

 

Stevenson ran from Kovalev, HBO will challenge Stevenson in court for breaking an agreement. Ward said that Kovalev was too big for him...............Kovalev is the best light heavyweight in the world today, the other champions are running from him...............

 

This guy is the biggest hype job of the last year and a half, doesn't have the move, doesn't have the style, doesn't have the timing, can't alter or control the tempo smoothly, just overpowers and breaks his opponent's action with brutality, doesn't have the footwork, I'm sure he's a future loser and very soon to happen. Jean Pascal can tag him and dance around him, Stevenson would set him up since he's defenseless and hit him like he did againt Dawson and he would fall like a tree, Hopkins would make him admit that in the end that was not his night. But he would be a little hype, what makes him such a big hypejob r his fans that think he has skills and knowledge alongside with raw power... He reminds me of the Jewish Bomber, Mike Rossman.
