Pretty good points! But I do think the lineal title holds alot of weight.

Was it me or was Kovalev very impressive in the fight I think that was his best performance, he was calm controlled, strong on the inside, great jab and balanced footwork, He could of got the victory cleanly if he only applied more pressure, threw to the body and didn't gas in the middle rounds.

That version of Kovalev was the best I've seen and would beat any version of GGG I've seen thus far because it was an elite fighter in Ward he was in with when he gave that performance.

He's a poker faced assassin! I was highly impressed by both fighters! That was an intense fight for me, I loved it!

So did I, although I felt sorry for Kovalev after the decision. Do you think we'll see a rematch?

I'm worried that one of the WBO/WBA/IBF are going to order some useless mandatory, and Ward will do that instead of fighting Kovalev again. Then the belts would be scattered a la Fury - Klitschko.

A rematch has to happen. It has to happen. This was a highly controversial fight, and me personally I think it could have gone 1 point either way, but I think Ward's going to want to erase any doubt because he's hearing everything in the media, and being asked certain questions about a robbery and things like that. Last night he showed a warrior mentality so I think there will be an immediate rematch, no doubt.

I'm not confident with the way Ward is talking don't think his scared of Kovalev but I think his gunna really try milk HBO this time especially if it sells well, TBH he should coz those commentators especially Lampley and Ledermen were putting in there to sway the public against him.

But Kovalev deserves a rematch and I hope he put it in the contract, I think a draw would have been a good result for either man so we got to see a rematch and no one lost their 0.

Are you ******ed? Do you even know what the lineal champion is? It's handed out when someone becomes undisputed and then it is passed around to the man who beats the man. Or in certain circumstances it's gifted as a present for unifying the division. In the MW division, Canelo holds it because he beat Cotto. Cotto had it because he beat Martinez. Martinez had it because he beat Pavlik. Pavlik had it because he beat Taylor. Taylor had it because he beat Hopkins. Hopkins earned the lineal title after he became undisputed champion after beating Trinidad who held the strap he needed to become undisputed.

Ward. I originally had scored the fight 115-112 for Ward and had given him the 10th round. Went back and rewatched it, and I gave it to Kovalev making it 7-5 in rounds giving Ward the fight by a single point. But I can see it 1 point going the other way too. This was an extremely difficult fight to score.

Okay I would have had it 114-113 to Kovalev I think in the really close rounds you have to favour the champion but if I didn't take that approach it would have been a point to Ward. It was a great fight and really difficult to score without thinking about it, I will say though I don't Ward was in top form until the 5th so I expect if there's a rematch he will have made the adjustments for Kovalev.

No , you're ******ed.. Its handed out?? wtf does that mean?
Lineage comes with the the belts. You become lineal champion by beating a linear undisputed champion.

In the case of Hopkins vs Trinidad it was #1vs #2. That created a lineage that has stayed unbroken since.
Garcia vs Lucas created a lineage.
Golovkin does not create a new lineage by beating Saunders. He HAS to beat Canelo to be declared linear undisputed MW champion

By posting this you proved you haven't a clue what you're talking about .
