GGG is the man at 160, not one great name on his resume? Foh with that ****, nothing wrong with wanting him to get a good name on his resume if the top guys in his division doesn't want him, by looking outside like 'he said he could'

Same as when Tyson was undisputed, but Spinks was linear.

I don't have no agenda I respect GGG for what he is a dominate middle weight unified champion. I can not put him above Kovalev or Ward who both have an elite names on their resume, if he moves up to 168 beats degale then I will rate him above what I already do.

I don't understand how someone can have expectations of GGG than his biggest fans, don't you wanna see him in great 50/50 fights?

If he has the big 4, yes. I think it would be identical to the Tyson-Spinks situation, barring the difference that there were only 3 major world titles then, but now there are 4.

I do want him to go against someone who can give him a 50/50 fight for sure! 168 is where he will get those fights. Thing is i want him to go against Canelo or Lara at 160, but all they do is talk and talk. I think he will eventually move up, if still Canelo doesn't take the fight.

But who has ever held all 4 belts? Its unlikely anybody ever will again due to politics , so an undisputed champion may be extinct.
You should be considered undisputed if you are lineal ring champ and hold the wbc, ibf and wba.. There's no rule that says you must hold the wbo or ibo.

Okay I see your more of a reasonable GGG fan, I personally rate GGG high enough to think he won't get 50/50 fights at 168 except with degale, I think if he beats degale who will probably be unified champ at the time then he can jump to 175 provided age hasn't caught up with him yet.

If he beat Lara, Saunders and Canelo, then Degale, and either Ward or Kovalev depending on who is the champ at the time he goes down as one of the greatest fighters ever in my opinion.

The man at 160 is Alvarez and it's obvious why. Back when you didn't exist in Boxing, Hopkins unified the 160lbs division and officially became the man at 160 unifying literally all major titles(WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO). Hopkins then lost to Taylor who lost to Pavlik who lost to Martinez who lost to Cotto who lost to Alvarez. Therefore officially, Alvarez remains the man at 160. If he's never planning to fight at 160 again, then that position remains vacant until someone unifies all major titles in the division.

Fair enough, politics does get in the way of these sort of things (especially these days with holding multiple belts). But politics has always played an omnipresent role in the sport.

And undisputed never had anything to do with lineage, as evidenced in the Tyson-Spinks situation.

I don't see why anyone would concern themselves with the WBO belt really, the WBO doesn't even push for unification and is usually just a top rank in house belt .

Another thing to consider when all the organization's met to discuss creating more undisputed Champs the WBO refused to show up or acknowledge anyone else. all you really need is the WBC,WBA,& IBF belts to be undisputed the WBO is a nice trinket but not necessary at all.

Kovalev didn't move up either, and GGG is more than happy to take the short end of the purse against the likes of Canelo
