Kovalev in America

I ALWAYS have a problem with this. People don't mention it because it is par for the course and expected. But world level boxing should ALWAYS have neutral judges and neutral referees if it is to stop being the hotbed of corruption it is.

 

Because in boxing America is where the money is.

You want access to the system you come to America. Only problem is American judges control the system and suck off American fighters.

And I'm a die hard American. But even I realize our judges love blowing our own guys.

 

Well it doesn't make sense financially to have fights in neutral locations, so I'm OK with that, but there is no excuse for not having neutral officials.

 

Ground doesn't have to be neutral but judges should be, absolutely.

If this fight were happening in Germany and Ward lost on the cards with everything else playing out the same way with all German ref and judges, you're damn straight we'd be complaining about it.

Just look at how Sven Ottke's viewed here and how we view losses to him on other fighters' records.

 

Let's put it this way, if they fought in Russia, and there were THREE Russian judges ...

And Andre Ward outjabbed Kovalev, and Andre Ward landed more power punches, and Andre Ward flattened Kovalev, and Andre Ward left the ring unmarked, and Kovalev left with his face battered and bruised ...

And the three Russian judges scored a unanimous decision in favor of Kovalev ...

As I said in another thread, people here would be having a stroke right now.

It was a bad decision. Kovalev won every aspect of the fight ... and judges turned in bad cards.

Simple as that.
