The OP is a pure fanboy. That's what I want to see though, delusional damage control from the fanboy set. The more creative the better.

I'll be here and more than willing to give full credit to Kovalev if he wins.

Kovalev had a mediocre performance against a tricky, awkward, tough guy. Big deal. People need to chill out.

I dont think so. Chilema took away Kovalev's right hand. Ward can do that better than Chilemba. I expect the Ward fight to look like this. Kov misses, gets countered and Ward holds and mauls. Ward does damage on the inside. Ward clinches. Ref seperates them. Back at it again. Kov be missing allnight long. Kov lands hard shot, Ward holds and mauls.

Ward wins 7-5 or 8-4 and the demographic will proclaim Ward P4P1 and best ever second to Floyd. The demographic will scream for GGG to fight Ward at 175. I too will beg for that fight as Canelo cant win.

In your original post you said that Kovalev's tactics in the Chilemba fight were to lull Ward into a false sense of security. If you want to achieve this then you would not want to create cognitive dissonance in that same person.

Kovalev was trying to take his head off, certainly not going easy. He just struggled a bit with a good boxer. Ward will make him look like a limited puncher.

Does Kovalev really need to play these complicated mind-games to get an edge on feather-fisted, inactive, glass-chinned, cowardly Andre Ward?

Why not instead KO Chilemba in 1 and use the old "fear" mindgame?

Can you imagine Mike Tyson letting himself get punched to play some sort of mindgame on his next opponent?

What is Kovalev some sort of pansy amateur psychologist?

Are you by the way some sort of idiot?

  15. I'd love to see ward try to hold and maul kovalev, the bigger man. Granted ward has better inside game, but he is not strong enough to hold kovalev without him pushing him off before shifting and cracking his skull with the straight punches that have the accuracy of a sniper.

The only one in that ring who is getting mauled like a mutt in November is Ward.
