He isn't a muscular sort of guy, he wouldn't be able to put the muscle on his frame in the way a Tyson or Jones could. He is a natural cruiser I would say, he's a big boned guy.

I think he could be an excellent CW. Part of the reason he looks skinny is because he has a large frame. He's big boned, but doesn't carry a lot of muscle mass for his frame size.

Having large bones makes it easier to go up in weight. He looks like he could carry more muscle.

Kovalev would have to change his style. Right now he fights really tall.

So, Mike Tyson, at 5'10, should have fought as a middle

Kovalev barely has any muscles on him, most of his weight comes from bones and fat, lots of fat. He's almost skinny-fat as a build.

Kovalev is perfectly build for light heavyweight, already at cruiserweight he'd get murdered.

He also has a suspect chin

Tyson would have been KTFO cold by Old George Foreman & Lennox Lewis (it happened later), he was too robust to fight at Middleweight, but he would have been the second best Cruiser, because Holyfield will still beat him at Cruiser.

Mike Tyson at Cruiser > Mike Tyson at Heavyweight

Mayweather was GOAT at 130 & a Cherry farmer at 147, all the doubts & negativity surrounding his legacy is the result of the necessary Cherry picking that was done at bigger weights. Not everyone is Mayweather TBE matchmaker, so always expect failure & disadvantages for fighters who chase paydays into higher weight classes.

Marvin Hagler 160, Bernard Hopkins 160, Felix Trinidad 147, Kostya Tszyu 140, Aaron Pryor 140, Salvador Sanchez 126, Ricardo Lopez 105 are good examples

He picked no cherries ever in his career. He fought 25 world title fights and won them all, almost every one of his fights post 130 were against former or current champions

Sugar Ray Robinson cherry picked, Duran Management cherry picked, SRL didn't cherry pick & got a 7.5% losing ratio, Roy Jones got KTFO when he stopped cherry picking

If Roy Jones stayed at 154 which he was rated as #1 WBC Contender with 100% KO ratio, he would have been so difficult to beat (without cherry picking) until he lost his reflexes & taller guys can get him with long range punches.

Mayweather is a GOAT p4p nominee, based on his preformance at 130 securing GOAT status at that division, the rest of his career scores GOAT on management, matchmaking :smoke
