He boxed a great, tactical fight. Came back and immediately took on the guy who brutally stopped him in his last fight... and arguably did it 12 rounds to 0!

I'll have to watch it one more time to score it more accurately. There might have been a few rounds to give Alvarez, but he was pretty listless in looking to duplicate that "one perfect shot" that never came. Sergey's jab was a precision tool tonight.

He wil destroy Beterbiev, Bivol is technically really good just no power.

I think the '75 division looks pretty good. There are some mighty fine match-ups that can be made... and Kov (who many people said was "done") would make them all 'must see' affairs.

It's a great time to be a boxing fan.

Well, Kovalev really is back! And this is good news for the sport. Time for those big, unification bouts to happen.

As long as he doesnt run out of stamina, it is impossible that guys like alvarez can win to him.

BTW, Álvarez yesterday... he did nothing. Had he done anything he would have lost anyway, true. But if you are going into a ring to do that... you better stay at home. I dont like fighters who go into the ring without the will to win.

    Outstanding performance by Kovalev, though.

Outstanding post... you've consistantly run down Kovalev(which is your right) but unlike the mealy mouthed whiners like iSAL you have shown that you have character. It shows balls to congratulate someone in defeat...I respect that & that's something iSAL will never have ...

Bivol's work rate too low to beat Kovalev yet

This is prime Kovalev. A marauding two-fisted power punching beast, attacking from both sides and doubling, tripling up on left hooks, right hooks, going up and down from head to body, body to head so you had no idea where the next punch was coming from, and dropping and badly hurting his opponents with jabs or straight lefts when he shifted stance.

Prime KRUSHER has gone. But hes still got enough to possibly beat defenceless beterbiev or green bivol! Gvozdyk would probably be too much.

Anyway KRUSHER has been my favourite fighter for the last decade easily!

Nice to see him get the win. I wasn't confident with him when I heard the court case against him, but he's turned it in to a positive and really knuckled down to prove a point imo.. Good on Kov !!

Yeah but he's still, at worst, the second hardest puncher in the division, an excellent boxer, and capable of taking out anyone if he catches them right.

I think Smith Jr. Is the hardest puncher at 175. And the hardest p4p at any weight class.

He packs serious power for sure but Beterbiev>>Kovalev>>Smith IMO
