Hopkins showed he has a top 10 chin of all time. Honestly from 40 to 50 years of age hes been down 3 times? twice by pascal and once from kovalev. and he brushed them off like nothing. before then was he ever down?

He probably does, his build is stockier (I am not too sure he will be make able to make LHW much longer)and physically he is looking like the modern version of a caveman, dude is just a tank.

But Kovalev has more than enough power. Even in the Hopkins fight against an elite opponent, his first round counter punch knockdown made Hopkins basically give up his offense.

And I agree, he seems to be a bit of a nutter. I still remember him taunting Cleverly, knocking him out and taunt the audience full with thousands of drunken chavs:rofl:rofl

Or him towering over Sillakhs KTFO body and insulting him:rofl:rofl

More to do with his defense and not getting hit than his chin

:yep He has a beautiful mean streak, you can tell he enjoys giving his opponent a beating. A cooler calmer version of mike tyson or roberto duran. after giving nathan a going over He immediately got on the turnbuckle and gave the welsh crowd a go **** yourself gesture. :good he did finish off with a few bows though after. :smoke one guy who dont give two ****s.

He also got angry with Sillakh before their fight, and it showed. He nearly killed him with that last right hand.

Recent interview with Cedric Agnew. He praises Kovalev's boxing ability too.

'Light heavyweight contender Cedric “L.O.W” Agnew (27-1. 14 KOs) commented on Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev’s power, Kovalev’s dominance of Bernard Hopkins and who he’d like to face next.
“Sergey has power, but it isn’t his power that makes him special. Yes, he can punch but what makes Sergey special is that he can also box. Like Hopkins, I thought I’d be able to use my footwork to control the distance and make him look bad, but he was able to use his size to cut off the ring to control the distance, which I didn’t know he could do,” said Agnew.

In addition to his ability to cutoff the ring, Agnew also praised Kovalev’s ability to use angles when attacking.

“You know, he doesn’t do it like an American boxer, but Sergey does use angles to come in. He’s not as easy to hit as you think. Don’t get me wrong, though, he can be hit, and I did hit him, but I just wasn’t prepared for the moment. Everyone always says it after they lose, but I really wasn’t myself that night. You think you’re ready for the big stage, but you’re not ready sometimes until the second time. I’m ready now,” said Agnew.

Since his fight with Kovalev, Agnew has been unable to secure a top opponent. He believes he’s the second most avoided light heavyweight.

“Braehmer and I were close to fighting, and I was even going to go to Germany, but he went with an easier guy. Let’s do it in March. I’m willing to fight anyone, including Kovalev again, and I think people want to see me again. Damn, I’ll go to Germany, Poland or Oakland. I want Fonfara, Braehmer or Ward in March,” said Agnew.

Agnew and his former sparring partner, Andrew Fonfara, shared a trainer in Sam Colonna. Colonna is on record as stating that Agnew has the best skills in boxing. A Fonfara-Agnew bout would sell in Chicago, as the two are among the most popular and most accomplished names in Chicago’s current boxing scene: Fonfara for the European crowd and Agnew for the American crowd.

“Everybody keeps telling us that Cedric isn’t worth the risk. Well, that’s just not fair to the fans or a kid like Cedric who has done everything right since turning pro. He got stopped by the sport’s best, and now nobody will touch him. Fonfara and Agnew in Chicago is a fight that should’ve happened years ago. We’re willing to sign for that fight today,” said Malcolm Garrett of Garret Promotions, Agnew’s promoter.

If a bout with Fonfara cannot be made, Agnew is hopeful that super middleweight kingpin, Andre Ward, would be willing to fight him in his return bout at 168 or 175.

“It would be a struggle to move down to 168, but I would do it to face Ward. I think he should move up to 175 to take me on because everyone would see it as a tune-up for Kovalev as he switches weight classes, but I doubt he will. He knows I’m not worth the risk,” said Agnew.

Since his bout with Kovalev, Agnew’s team has been in talks with a number of top light heavyweights, especially Juergen Braehmer, but nothing has been signed.

“I’ll just keep waiting and winning. Eventually, I’ll get another shot, and this time, I’ll be better prepared,” said Agnew.'

Nice post Serge, we dont know Agnew may become a top 10 lhw again. He looked pretty tough and was hard to break down. One of Kovalevs harder fights, due to elbows and headbutts, but either way he made sergey work for it. Caparello also is a decent rangy boxer, but his lack of power means he wont be a major player in the division. Campillo has shown his quality before, that was a good win. campillo is a top 10 lhw. And sillakh is a nice mover with decent power, he just has chin issues. But the KRUSHER has beaten some decent opposition.

Agnew looked a good fighter to me. Just because he lost to Kovalev some are writing him off as a nobody even though it was plain to see he clearly has skills, was a decorated amateur, and actually did better against Kovalev than some of Kovalev's more established and better known victims of a higher caliber and was also undefeated going in, he must be a nobody.

    p4p you clown

Wlad weighs more. If you accurately tested the power of both men then calculated which is harder based on body weight to result ratio Kov wuld win.

Kov would knock Deontay Wilder out cold. Fact.
