I seen and interview with Kov and he said that to be a real champion is to travel (or atleast be willing to) around the world and take on all challenges, win/lose/draw in this fight or upcoming fights, he atleast has the right mindset that boxing needs - props to the man and fighter like him.
So you can get taxed by their government and then taxed by the U.S. Government as well. Then pay some taxes to the State you reside in. Move to a State with no income tax and try to fight only in that State.
Kovalev does live in Florida, they don't have State income tax :good Still gotta pay a lot to Uncle Sam though...
I am only guessing but I would be amazed if he gets anymore than 1.5 while Pascal will get at least $ million. Then Kovalev will get taxed by Kanada, Murica and his new home State of California with the highest State income taxes in the nation. They are probably even making Kovalev pay for the drug testing that Pascal will NOT be given. atsch
Pretty sure he recently relocated to California. Same with Golovkin. At least California is getting some immigrants who actually pay taxes.
After the Hopkins win his manager Kathy Duva said it was all about the. Only for Kovalev now Hopefully he gets around 3 mil he deserves it ..And Kovalev better move back to FLorida
Yeh I've said it before somewhere on here but I initially didnt like Froch, seemed somewhat of a d!ck to me, but seen a few fights and it was clear than he leaves it all in the ring, gained me as a fan, in a similar way I believe to guerrero on saturday, even though he lost the fight I'm sure the exposure of the fight and his warrior mentality he showed on the night gained him some fans
Froch came to the U.S. to fight Taylor ,Denmark to fight Kessler ,Monaco to fight Double A and AC to fight Ward he more than earned my respect ..Kovalev is doing the same thing
Oh I totally agree, just that in his early days he seemed like just another loud mouth, but he comes into the ring everytime with the mindset that if needed he will go into the trenches and give it his all, have to respect any fighter like that.
