Kovalez easily beat the man who beat the crap out of Cloud. He is a good fighter. If Ward wants to claim to be the best fighter in the world he needs to fight Vladimir Klitschko, afterall, Vitali and Vlad beats all boxers in every division. Klitschkos are # 1, they others don't stand a chance.
hahaha dude this killed me. right at poet ahhaha **** son! I do see Kovalev as the next big **** at 175 and a threat to anyone though. Pascal and Dawson would be tough for him right now.
He sure beat the man who beat Cloud! He is for real and will soon be hated as much as the Klitschkos, the better he gets the more hated he will be, by the same who hate Klitschkos..................
He beat the guy who beat an over rated Cloud, it's not time to jump in the air and claim that he is the best ever at LHW. However he does look very good, I don't plan to bet against him any time soon.
Remember it was only two years ago when he struggled real hard against Darnell Boone. He Ko'd Boone in two in rematch but still.. That night he showed his flaws against medicore opponent. But on the other hand: He was amazing against Campillo.
It's only one year since a title holder struggled against his last victim to the point that he should have lost the fight. And who hasn't struggled against Darnell Boone ?
:deal Boone gave ward his toughest fight (i think hehe). i'll be honest though i think Kovalev will be top 3 in the division but i dont see him being good enough to be at the top. He was fighting hard vs campillo but if he kept the same pace without putting campillo out early he would have tired out by mid rounds and likely would have started to lose the fight from that point on. still, he is an exciting fighter who tries to get the job done... boxing needs some of those
When i say 'god looking win', i'm not just talking about how it looked in the ring, but also how it looked on paper, and on paper, this was the first time he beat a really noteworthy fighter. But just like he looked great against a style that makes most guys look like ****, he may look like **** against other styles on a world-class level. We just don't know, so i'm saying, let's wait and see.
Heard the same thing about Tavoris Cloud and Ismail Sillakh a few years back. Now let's see how he fares vs. the division elite to put this nice result into perspective.
I'm glad somebody knows their Muhammad Ali quotes I'm curious how Kovalev's chin is. And how he deals with tricky/speedy movers.
:deal Kovalev is solid if not spectacular in virtually every respect and has what appears to be monster power in both hands. Moreover, he's a good (not great) athlete with good fluidity and patience for a power puncher.
