ATG, period. Best fighter of his era. He showed he's much more than a puncher. By out landing, and outboxing the best pure boxer of his generation.

    He did.

But to be fair, I think Ward has seen his better days.

Ward's either past his prime or else he's just slower at the heavier weight.

    Or both.

Still, definite props to Kovalev. He proved everything tonight.

Mayweather's two best wins are from 2001 and 2002. Different era.

Compubox stats aren't reliable and even if they were, they still wouldn't mean crap.

Fights are scored round by round.

Anybody who knows boxing already knew he's more than a puncher and that the fight would be a chess match.

Fibe, Kovalev landed more, threw more and landed harder. Essentially Ward was outboxed. He couldn't get off. He couldn't land.

Son Of Judges didnt win anything tonight. I wonder how much this decision cost his management?

This is a guy who is boring as hell, runs, holds, has no power, fights dirty. headbutts, hits and holds etc. His last knock out is like 7 years ago or something. He is inactive barely ever fighting inside and outside the ring. If this the best the sport has to offer we are in extremely bad shape.

Hell even Stephen A Smith admits Ward lost. Ok. That says a lot. An impact between a Russian missile and an America jet, this is a guy who would try to claim the American jet got the better of the exchange. Thats how clear it was for Smith to have to admit this.

Lol compubox had Kovalev landing more punches? Throw that **** away. I'm surprised so many have Kovalev winning, he got a boxing lesson in the second half.

Kovalev lander more and harder earlier on. Circa the first 4 rounds.

As the fight went on Ward was landing the crisper, sharper punches, both to the head and body. He won most of the mid and late rounds.

For the record, I rewatched the fight and changed my decision to a draw.

Yeah almost. But in the end he was the one who got outboxed.

Nobody cares about your biased opinion. Ward was extremely competitive and won in the eyes of many observes. You, and anyone else who thinks that this was some sort of landslide victory for Kovalev need to drop the sport.
