That was a great showing against a very skilled opponent; however, the fact that Stevenson is a southpaw adds another very dangerous element to his game.

adonis is a naturally bigger guy who can punch and moves better than boone. it won't be similar at all. boone came to survive in the rematch. first time they fought it was a split decision win for kovalev.

I wouldn't necessarily say Kovelev is a better mover, but he is bigger, and his southpaw stance will cause Kovelev problems.

In fact, his southpaw stance is what stands out most to me. If Stevenson was orthodox, I'd be inclined to favor Kovalev, but because Stevenson is a southpaw, I favor him slightly over Kovalev.

At the end of the day, I think it will be about who lands first.

The reason he got KOd in the second rd was becasue he jumped all over Kovalev trying to carry over his 1st rd success at landing the wild L hook.


While BJ and Freddie were talking about Boones 1st rd successes, Boone bums rushed KOvalev, the crowd starts cheering him on, then Kovalev takes the shots, responds and lands a R hand sending Boone into reverse.

From there on, yeah, Boone was looking to survive, but for the first 4 minutes of the fight, he was trying to end it with one punch.:-(
