Kovalev can afford to take a shot to land one..I expect hopkins to counter though then tie him up, hold and bring the head up.

BHOP will get caught sooner or later will be very interesting to see how he reacts.

Technically Golovkins on another level to Kovalev imo. One of the best. I think it's fair to say Kovalev is fairly crude and not that hard to hit, his punching power has seen him through his competition so far

You think Hopkins is going to trade with Kovalev?

    LOL...

The ole man is going to set traps for the TOMATO KAN Krusher, make him miss then make him PAY.

There are LEVELS to this **** and Kovalev *isn't* on par with Hopkins...

just saying krusher would have krushed dawson and calzaghe. totally different threat coming from kovalev. and trinidad and pavlik didnt have it. thats size strength and iron will. a threat blown up welterweights and drunks didnt have. :)

Thats fine saying there are levels and he is not on par? You dont say at what though. He has many disadvantages in this bout.

I didn't say Hopkins would trade. Hopkins does have to throw shots you are aware of that, and he can be countered.

Kovalev himself is excellent at controlling distance and cutting the ring off.

HOP is in for a nasty surprise.

Kovalev's only real advantages in this fight are in punching power and age. Everything else is either an advantage for the Ole Man, a question mark or a wash.

Kovalev doesn't have the skill set to counter the Ole Man.

With his flat feet and shitty balance? I don't think so.

There is nothing impressive about knocking over TOMATO KANs...

Kovalev is one of the best at cutting off the ring.

Very underrated defence very good at stepping away from shots and creating space. Its not going to be as easy for Hop as you think.

Was his "underrated defense" on display when he pulled straight back from that TOMATO KAN right before getting knocked down in his last fight?

Is that the "underrated defense" you're talking about?

    But there is a difference.

Hopkins' skills are well beyond that of a TOMATO KAN. Kolalev, OTOH, wouldn't even qualify to be on Joe Louis' Bum of the Month tour...

Kovalev barely got hit cleanly by Caparello other than that. What are you talking about?

You're making it sound like he blocks punches with his face ala Gatti.

That's because the fight only lasted TWO rounds.

Fact remains, your hero with all of his alleged defense got DROPPED by a TOMATO KAN.
