" Sergei Kovalev Athlete 3 time World Champion WBO Champ 2013-2016 IBF Champ 2014-2016 WBA Super Champ 2014-2016 Robbed by judges in the fight vs «son of judges» Andre Ward youtube.com/c/Kovalboxer"
He wasn't robbed. Could have gone either way. But I'm fine with him thinking that if it makes him happy.
He should have gotten the decision but he should also have tried to climb back after. Instead he went with an undisciplined lifestyle.
And lost via KO to the nuts, not even a count or anything, waved off. Should have been a point off, at minimum, for the boring and deluded Ward.
Was this worse than the Taylor decision? Yes in my opinion. Officially taking Wards 0 was massive. And he won clearly
"Son of judges" lol. That was a terrible robbery. Awful. Was a classic example of an EE fighter getting screwed in the states.
Remember when Ward didn't want to come back to fight Canelo because he had other things to do in his life? Like commentary with Max Kellerman? That's how desperate he was to defend his 0. So when people say he took massive risk against Kovalev (when he knew he had the home advantage and judges on his side), just remember he wouldn't fight the far smaller man in Canelo for FAR money money and glory. Because he knew he wasn't protected A-side anymore. Meanwhile Golovkin is far smaller than Ward, around 40 and still wants to fight Canelo, even after being robbed. Nobody denies Ward's ability. But he had a protected and calculated run, it's obvious, and is one of the most self-righteous and utterly fake personas in the sport with a horrible and dirty style that absolutely nobody misses.
