    Scene it....

So Kovalev made some "remarks" about Pascal, calling him a piece of **** and whatever, said he wants to kick his ass again.

Duva, said Kovalev's comments make the fight more interesting and it's a possibility due to their relationship with the promoter.

Do you think there should be a rematch?

I wouldn't mind seeing it again, but it definitely wouldn't be my first choice for Kovalev (or Pascal).

There shouldn't be but it may be the best of a bad situation since Duva and HBO have no interest in even trying to make the fight they pretended they wanted for the good of boxing.

It's similar to the talk after Pacquiao-Bradley 2 of the need for a "rubber match" simply because of how poor Top Rank's stable around welter is.

    Of course its happening

What other lucrative fights can Kovalev take other than a Ward fight down the road

I believe Duva mentioned a Pascal rematch way back when they pulled of the purse bid with Stevenson

Yeah, I think maybe Duva even told Kovalev to hype it up a little bit?

I personally have not much interest, I dislike unneeded rematches, would rather Kovalev fight some mandatory even.

It was entertaining but not enough happened for Pascal to warrant a rematch, he showed a lot of heart, I suppose Kovalev's options aren't exactly stacked.

The first fight had a pretty conclusive result. From a competitive stand point, there's no reason for a rematch.

I see no reason for a rematch other than they both made over 2 million for the first one. From a boxing perspective, Team Kovalev probably realizes they will not be getting Stevenson or Ward anytime soon so they should go with the next best option from a sinancial standpoint.

Kovalev already dominated Pascal in his hometown and was not even drug tested but Kovalev was and had a poor training camp. Pascal will get hurt far worse this time around. Hopefully he leaves his daughter at home for this one.

That's exactly my thoughts. I hate it when one guys gets destroyed and then a rematch is made. Like what's the point?

Which is why I'd much prefer Kovalev vs Bute and Pascal vs Beterbiev.

Given the choice, which would you rather see? The two fights I mentioned, or a Kovalev-Pascal rematch?

lol neither, i'd feel bad for bute, it'll be 5x worse than what Froch did to him, and I'm a pascal fan so i dont want to see him get hurt by beterbiev.
