Damn, Kovalev was already mentally checked out of the boxing game before the Yarde fight.

Damn, he won by KO with a jab, Damn! And damn! He without hesitation the moment he heard Canelo was looking to fight him, he confidently told Buddy to bring him the contract with Canelo, damn! And signed on the dotted line, damn! Because he's really motivated by the idea of scoring a career defining KO victory, damn!

He will not be able to take Clenelo's body shots and will lose somewhere between 8-10 rounds via TKO. Kovalev Is finished, he actually got lucky to escape the Yarde fight with the win. I hope I am wrong and he knocks Canelo out cold but his legs, stamina and ability to absorb shots to the body are gone.

Lucky for him, Canelo won't be landing any. Kovalev's ramrod power jab is going to rip him to pieces. Canelo is going to be scared shitless and apprehensive as hell trying to get inside. Ward got inside by jabbing to the body, then wrestling, smothering and spoiling his way in, and Canelo is no Ward, looping hooks weren't available for him.

I sure hope so but I am definitely leaning toward Canelo getting the win.

Delighted he won then, finally getting paid his pot of gold for what he’s put into boxing.

With a catchweight, I could see why people would have Canelo as the slight favorite. But without one, I have no idea why anyone would have it as anything but a Kovalev demolition job. Over 160, Canelo has a win over perhaps the weakest fighter 168 has to offer in Fielding, he's never fought at 175. To put it into better perspective, what do you think Kovalev, Eleider Alvarez and Anthony Yarde would have done to Fielding? I mean look at what Alvarez did to a guy that had just taken Jack and DeGale two of the best at 168 to the limit.

    Something else to consider....

This is Callum Smith vs. Fielding, and glass jawed Middleweight Hassan N'Dam. Compare the performances.

I mean, Fielding someone who in theory should have held his own, get's blown out in 1. N'Dam in spite of going down repeatedly. Lasts 3.

That is the level of the one man Canelo has beaten over 160.

It's just facts. Do you think Canelo even has a chance against a pre-Ward Kovalev?

I know Kovalev is your boy and I'll be rooting for him but YARDE almost took Kovalev out. Imagine what Canelo will do.
There's a reason the bookies have Kovalev almost at a 5-1 underdog.
What has Kovalev shown in his latest fights to prove he can beat Canelo? Alvarez did absolutely nothing in the rematch and Kovalev was in a lot of trouble against a much less experienced fighter in Yarde compared to both Canelo and Kovalev.
If Kovalev was younger and in his prime, different story but Canelo's team isn't stupid and they know exactly what they're doing.
As much as I would love to see Kovalev get the victory, Kov will collect the biggest paycheck of his career and ride out to the sunset after being outworked and knocked out.

    Yarde would bash Canelo senseless.
