To elaborate.... quite frankly, I have a hard time seeing Canelo beat any halfway decent Light Heavyweight. Canelo's team is stupid, their hubris and arrogance has gotten the best of them here, sure they've ran the calculations in their heads, and think they've come up with the perfect scenario, but as always with this sport, the opponent always has a say too. They're cherry picking way above their league. Saunders who has an amazing chin, nearly got KO'd by a bum, who's usually a Light Heavyweight. Small Middleweight, former Light Middleweights just go up to Light Heavyweight in one of the strongest eras it's seen in quite some time and have their way with them. Hopkins is 6'1, Roy is 5'11 and Toney is every bit of 5'10, and they have the frame to fill out at that weight. For Canelo..... even Super Middleweight is a stretch. He's in for one of the rudest awakenings possible. There were people all over this site saying Rigo would give Loma hell, people were even saying Mikey could beat Spence, well.... their elite level skillsets were rendered useless. Just like Canelo's will.

No, he just knew what was at stake. No point carrying on for small money AND getting beaten by lesser opponents.

How will he get to the body? It took Ward an entire fight to get to it.

Those fights were 2-3 years ago. Kovalev finally looks his age tbh. He wont be able to deal with Canelo's fast hands and movement in my opinion, especially in the second half of the fight .

That literally has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Don't let your hatred for Pac ruin your life, man.

I'm just pointing out a fact.
    That's it man

On the topic I favor kova to beat canelo
I think kova is too good. Better jab, better hand speed stronger puncher.

    Dudes resume speaks for itself.

    Pascal
    Hopkins
    Ward

This dude ain't no cherry picker
When he has u on the ropes he will go for the kill

Canelo ain't stopping no damn kovalev

Canelo ain't backing up no kovalev

This isnt triple G its kovalev
Kovalev beats canelo In my opinion
If canelo bests kovalev then I'll give him credit

It doesn't matter how he looks, it matters how he boxes, and he's boxed as well in his last two fights as he did against Ward the first time around. Two very large Light Heavyweights with good chins couldn't land clean on Kovalev's body consistently, and one of whom, Eleider Alvarez is a damn good boxer himself, he outboxed Pascal as impressively as Bivol after all. Canelo looked hellish in his match against Jacobs, his stamina was the worst it's been in years, the last 6 rounds he was sucking air, and getting beaten up at times. How is adding a ton of weight going to help that bad stamina?

Sounds like the complete opposite if you actually read it

The amount of people thinking a light-hitting middleweight is going to step up 15 pounds to light-heavy and walk through Kovalev is scary

Canelo just does not win by knockout.I predict it every time and every time it’s a points victory.

Actually I have it the opposite way round to you-Canelo has some kind of power early on,against Jacobs I felt like he could hurt Jacobs but after four rounds he’s prone to saving energy and holding back which is why so many of his opponents come back into the fight later half.

Their elite level skillsets weren’t rendered useless by size, Lomachenko is more skilled than Rigo and Mikey simply doesn’t have an elite skill set. Canelo is more skilled than Kovalev, that’s the difference here.
