it doesnt matter that he didnt become a killer, he did enough to win. You could also say the same about ward who couldnt get a foothold at all in the fight, and was unable to show P4P boxing skills. he did show p4p toughness and fighting spirit however which i praise him for, but that doesnt win fights when you are outlanded in more rounds and dropped on your ass.

You need to correct the way you score fights before you score it again. Thats the only advice i can give you. Because ive already given you a few good reasons why ward couldnt have won the fight and why he lost. So by tomorrow i expect you to have scored it a draw. Lol

Would be in Kovalev's best interests if the fight did not go to the Score Cards....

 

What you fail to realize is that it wasn't a boxing match, it was a fight and Ward did show P4P fighting skills and heart and resolve and determination and everything else a P4P fighter brings to bear when it's time to fight instead of box. Kovalev won a few battles but he lost the war because Ward showed that the overcome is a greater general that the defeat.

 

Thats where you're wrong , Ward did show p4p level boxing skill in defence , especially evasion tactics that befuddled Kovalev and forced him to re-set over and over.
Kovalev fought passive because Ward fought around him in circles which was the strategy to take away his long straight powerful right hand . He executed a good gameplan and displayed very impressive p4p level ring generalship and intelligence.
Kovalev could only fight one way and it showed as Ward became more and more the aggressor with every round. Judges will favour the guy who presses the action more and he not only did that he also landed the better work at mid-range and on the inside. Thats where Kovalev done nothing.
He is only effective at long range and thats why you saw him back off Ward every time he had him up by the ropes and why he never piled on any pressure.
Im not arguing who won or lost , i see the case for Krusher 100% , but Ward showed immense p4p level talent in that fight.

 

Where does it talk about spoiling in the rules of boxing? All of the tactics you refer to, including grabbing, tackling, hitting on the break, headbutting are fouls in the rules of boxing.

If McGregor low kicks Mayweather to the balls and then punches him in the face would that be allowed?

All these are breaking the rules, regardless of how blatant.

I dislike Floyd and his cherry picking but his KO of Ortiz was legal albeit completely against the spirit of boxing. Headbutts etc should result in point deductions and eventually disqualification. When Ward tackled Kovalev across the ring, what did you Ward-homos think about his boxing skills?

In no facet of Ward - Kovalev 1 did Ward win. Boxing, punching, defense....yet he fouled his way to survive, which somehow seemed a greater achievement than punching someone in the face.

I commend Ward for taking the rematch and just hope it is a clear result with a fair boxing referee.
