LHW has a limit of 81 kg which is 178 lbs. Mw is 165. So Ward is a small smw but he couldn't shed 3 lbs to make 165 as an amatuer? Doesn't sound right to me

Kovalev should first clean out his active division and quit trying to call prime smaller fighters out of retirement.

Good points. The more Ward is inactive the less bargaining room he has. Kovalev has increased his marketability in the last year while Ward gathers dust. Kovalev is a legitimate big fight for Ward. IMO, Ward needs to keep Floyds name out of his mouth. GGG, I'm ok with that but as someone said, he won't get as much credit for that win.

Ward talked about moving to LHW after the Super 6 back in 2011 and again just before Stevenson and Kovalev emerged. It won't be a popular opinion but i think he may be waiting it out hoping that Kovalev has a Bute moment while Adonis is already 37. The way he spoke about Bute losing to Froch as if that validated his choice not to fight him always made it seem to me like it was a calculated move. LHW isn't getting any weaker though with all the talent coming up so he'll have to do it at some point or stick to his desolate SMW division and aspiring film career.

Ward stuffed his self to make 175 & basically was fully clothed at weigh ins

There is a lot of fights at 168 both dirrell bros, degale, groves, chavez even froch & kessler rematches & a future fight with GGG.

Who cares about rankings if he falls of he will be back at the top as soon as he gets back!!

    Ward will never be irrelevant

    The Sergimps?:huh

Krushettes?:think Got a Krush on the Krusher...
(the feminine suffix being sufficiently insulting to serve the purpose I'm sure)

On the same note... how about Ward's Androgynes?

Uh...oh. People gonna start thinking I got gender identity issues...

John David Jackson and Duva have called for Kovalev-Ward, Sergey would like the fight too but he's not called Ward out as such and he's always been very respectful towards him.

''AW - What do you think of the light heavyweight division?

SK - It is getting to be a good division. I hope I can help to get better and also hope Andre Ward will come up one day to light heavyweight to make it better.

It's not like he's ever come out and said Ward is ducking him or anything like Ward did about Golovkin.

With Ali's personality, he could have fought anywhere and made it a blast. Ali pretty much started a whole new era in the sport. The division he was fighting in(regardless of competition) was going to be exciting simply because he's in it, that's just common sense. You're just an idiotic pathetic keyboard simpleton who can't respond properly.
