Ward could be in better shape in terms of speed as he will be more accustomed to 175, my point about Floyd being considered boring but enjoying huge appeal was unbeaten american p4p fighters have a lot going for them and Andre ticks all those boxes.
Maybe he gets a reputation as an eastern euro assassin if he could take out Kov/Berb which would be an angle to sell other fights against other ee fighters mentioned plus possible Golovkin fight. A nickname change could help, S.O.G. is pretty lame.

I am aware Floyd and Ward are not similar. Boxings cash cows aren't going to be Mayweather clones.

Funny as a Brit who came rather late to Floyd Mayweather(round Oscar fight)I always found him very watchable and whilst he was defensive he never pulled that SOB wrestling pap,Andre Ward as good as his resume is never cares about the paying public,SK is dead right agreeing to a rematch before hand and then having a change of heart just because he's now the champion is all wrong and as such doesn't surprise me knowing how SOB operates,all that humble stuff is pure bull ****

I had ward winning 114-113 but I could easily see the same score the other way. both can make a lot of adjustments especially in conditioning and a more honest trainer.

 

I absolutely love elite athletes with cruel and ruthless character. I like to imagine that Kovalev wants to literally kill Ward in the ring. I want to see that face of a cold blooded warrior ready to kill just before the bout starts.
