Kovalev is very chinny, and was hurt multiple times against fighters with average power, precise puncher like BTR will brutally KO him. And Kov is one of my favorite fighters.
Yarde showed what a beast he is in the Kovalev fight, I’m not sure Gvodzyk could deal with that kind of smoke tbh.
Not sure about that. The ref last night didn't even let Beterbiev work in close, due to Gvodzyk being the preferred face for Top Rank at 175. I think it's a good match up. I'd like to see it if Kovalev beats Alvarez. Could Beterbiev take Kovalev's power flush like that and not be bothered? Could Kovalev handle those single body shots? Not likely if Ward's body shots were folding him in half. Either way it's a fight I'd like to see.
He lost every round bar the 8th against an ageing champion on the slide and then GTFKO in the 11th. Yarde gets bodied in 6 off prime Kovalev, he gets beat down in 8 off Gvozdyk currently.
OP, did you not see Kov’s last few fights or are you just a blind Canelo fan trying to puff up his upcoming win over faded and shot Kov? Either of the guys who fought last night would destroy Kov or Canelo. Both fought at a level that we have not seen from Kov since the first Ward fight. When you only watch mismatches it’s easy to forget that some fights are close. That was a very close fight until the last couple rounds. AB is the top LHW on the planet and would give Kov and Canelo a serious beat down. I’d love to see it but don’t expect either guy to set foot in the ring with AB. He’s too prime, too sharp and too strong for either guy.
Yarde with his power would have a chance but I doubt he'd win many rounds.Yarde and Gvodzyk is nowhere near a 50/50 fight as their respective records suggest.
He won one round imo but it's nice to see you're a fan of Yarde.Kovalev said he would of retired had he lost to Yarde so you can't blame him for taking the big payday at the end of his illustrious career.
Ward's "body shots" were BLATANT FOULS for the most part. Kov should have returned the complement & made that obnoxious cretin sing sporano
Kovalev is close to shot and is a massive underdog vs canelo. maybe back in the day a prime kovalev wins but beterbiev seems to have good distance of where to stand and not get hurt. or maybe gvosdyks power was over rated
you got it bad lol how on earth does this relate to Golovkin or his fans?you're seriously deluded and are transposing your own thoughts without realising how shallow and readable they are. Kovalev has had a great career but talk of drinking and his lack of wanting to train has come out and it's not long ago he was wrote off entirely after being knocked out.So don't flatter yourself 're GGG as the thread has nothing to do with him.
I thought Kovalev would completely destroy Yarde I was really impressed with his performance, I think he gives Gvodzyk a really good fight would love to see it.
Can you imagine what Betterbiev would do to Ward if he would punch him in the balls? Probably would break his back right in the ring lol
