Yes I agree although Kovalev is very good Beterbiev has the style to win. I think Beterbiev would KO Kovalev before the 9th round. Kovalev stamina problem would be exponential against constant pressure. That said, Kovalev is still a top 3 in that very competitive division. He is legit and deserves a belt and respect.

people forget how kov smashed the lhw titlists. Nathan Clev, the next calzaghe was obliterated by making the mistake of facing a prime top guy, and hopkins, albeit old one, was chumpchanged.

This is what happens when you're record has losses on it.Doesn't matter that two were controversial as immediately after we have his coach weighing in on him and all of the bad stuff comes out.
Such a fine line but I have to say I wouldn't expect him to do very well against those two who fought on Friday.

Like Golovkin he still has his skill from year's of boxing and some heart to keep going but you can visibly see their ability to dominate has gone.

At his absolute best he hardly lost any rounds and was knocking folk out when he was out of position lol.
I'm happy for Kovalev getting the big pay day though.

I agree that Beterbiev KO Kovalev. But I think Govzdyk has a style that Kovalev would be comfortable with. Gvozdyk is a fighter that moves and wait for an opening to get inside. I think the jab of Kovalev would dictate. Then it is just a matter of who connects more. I give Kovalev an edge if the fight happens within a year or two.

Or how the new titlist blasted him out in their first fight on August 4 2018, by KO7, by Eleider Alvarez, before Kovalov won the rematch on Feb 2, 2019, by unanimous decision.

No he isn't and hasn't been for a while now.
He loses to Bivol, Beterbiev and Gvozdyk at this point and will have trouble and might even lose to the tier below that, Buatsi, Kalajdzic and maybe even someone like Ramirez.

Even Kovalev's own team wouldn't pick the current version vs Gvozdyk, let alone Beterbiev.

Beterbiev fought Gvozdyk like it was out a textbook. Perfect execution. Took minimal risk and took him out.

    Profile pic says it all.
Krusher has way more height and reach, and has been working hard on his glutes

Having strong glutes will enable you to generate more power in just about every movement, including running, jumping, and squatting.

I think Krusher has been tainted by Abel (I am not very discrete) Sanchez saying that GGG beat him up in sparring. (Could be true, but what a wanker for saying it)

Canelo is probably on the best medication available to man at this time, otherwise, he is going to get pounded from the outside.

I understand that there are huge amouts of money involved, so that's why everyone is picking Canelo, but this is a perfect "Cinderella Man" scenario

No we don't, he's just on the downslide. I'm not one of those guys that think Canelo has a chance, Kovalev is gonna destroy him IMO, I also still think Kovalev is a top 4/5 guy still but Beterbiev and Bivol both beat him at this point. I think Callum Smith (if he moves up and who I'm very high on) also has a good chance at him.

And before I'm criticized, let it be known that I was very high on Kovalev at one point and considered him P4P #1 for a time.
