I never hate on a man who wants to keep his titles and defends against the top contenders. somehow some way ppl will hate on this but he doesnt want to give up his IBF belt so he'll make the defense. as long as a fighter fights often, like 4 times a year, then its totally fine. Duva will also send a letter to WBC to make Kovalev the mandatory for Stevenson (which i think he is since he won some so called WBC dimaond belt against Pascal) so Stevenson will really have to make a decision in the fall.

Until then Kovalev back to defend his titles against a Mando rally soon. fight could be signed in next 2 weeks, fine with me! :bbb:bbb

Sukhotsky KO2 Mohammedi, it'll be a short night of work for the Krusher.

I'd like to see Kovalev fight Fonfara if he beats Chavez Jr.

I'd like to see how Kovalev deals with Fonfara's range.

Anyone who hates on Kovalev for taking a mandatory fight to keep all his belts, especially after ticking the IBF off by putting it off once already to face the bigger name in Pascal... is an utter moron.

When you fight often, not every fight can be a blockbuster. If you want to collect all 4 belts, you have to occasionally do mandatories. It will be easy to see who the trolls are by the comments on the fight, which should in fact be signed within a week. Both are promoted by ME and Kovalev even said at post fight presser he was fighting mandatory next.

Kovalev just faced BHOP, and Pascal in back to back fights.... If he wants to stay busy while waiting to land another big fight that's fine, of course the armchair experts and haters will claim he's facing bums, all the while claiming they don't have an agenda/bias against him.

Very true. When you beat 2 of the top 3 our there, and the other guy isn't going to sign, a stay busy fight will do.

Yeah, nothing wrong with this fight, not every fight can be against top opposition.

Kovalev will fight after that gainst winner of Brähmer vs. Krasniqi and then probably against Fonfara. No way Adonis or Ward have the guts to fight him.
