Dude's paranoia has hurt him tremendously, but it's tough because I empathize with how frustrated the sport's made him. His whole career, he's been boxing's Frank Grimes, busting his ass only to see other guys get easier paths, more media hype, bigger paydays, and more promotional support/favors. I usually don't say this, but he really would be better off selling out to Haymon to get a few easy paydays in before retiring. I wouldn't blame him one bit for it.
1 problem is he is a bad trainer but a far bigger problem is he wont admit it and blames everybody else.
Well in Kovalev's defense, its not like Ward or Martinez really needed trainers, they're the reason for their success, Hunter and Sarmiento had **** all to do with either of them winning. Kovalev is perfectly competent and can make adjustments without someone telling him he needs to, this is Shabranskyy after all, but when he gets in there with a Stevenson or Gvozdyk, I'd prefer him to get a trainer.
