You have to take into account how good someone Is at the time the person fights them, not just their resume. Think before you speak.

 

I don't see how anyone right now could put GGG over Kovalev, I also don't get how people try to compare there comp Kovalec has fought Champions who've beaten Champions GGG has fought journeymen. You can't crown a guy without considering level of comp, honestly the roles should be switched, and Kovalev should be the one hyped.

Some people have eyes and see that Golovkin's skills are better than Kovalev's in many areas. Yes, his resume is weaker (about the same as Kovalev's one pre-Hopkins), because Golovkin has been ducked worse than Kovalev. Bernard did a huge favor to Kovalev by losing to him and propelling him to the next level of popularity.

GGG being this super feared fighter is the biggest myth going, he had a chance to prove it and back down on two separate occasions.

People keep saying how GGG looks good, but your skills can only be judged off level of competition.
if I KO 5 journeymen and you have 5 competitive fights vs world class fighters, I'm likely going to look better than you doesn't mean I'm better.

I put more credit in competitive fights vs world class fighters, than dominate wins over club fighters any day.
I mean seriously Kovalev could legitimately beat Ward next year and become P4P #1, GGG is afraid of Ward and there is nothing he could do to top that.

 

Agree with this. The "eye test" to me puts Golovkin over Kovalev. But, not by a huge amount. And I think that if they ever fought Kovalev would KTFO Golovkin due to size alone if nothing else.
