I take the elite boxer puncher over the elite boxer spoiler, like last time. Don't believe the judges will blatantly favor the American again against the grain, if it goes the distance.
I really want this to be true. But I am voting for Ward, I think he will eek out another decision that nobody is happy with. Best case scenario, since I am a terrible prognosticator (I think I have 100% wrong so far), is that Kovalev tears him a new one in about 3 rounds.
As someone who going into the first fight that thought Kovalev would win, ultimately seeing the first fight and what Ward was able to overcome under the gun, I'm inclined to believe he has less trouble next time with Kovalev and it looks more like the Bika/Ward fight.
ward is the ultimate messer, one of the few fighters where i look at the result of his fights (rather than stay up all night wating to catch up with OaklandCentralTime) to see if it will be worth watching a replay. it rarely is. so i predict he will be as unwatchable as usual
Ward wins again. Both fighters are going to be more cautious. Ward will look for a better start. Kov will try to conserve the tank so he won't gas again. This fight will pick up around halfway through when Kov will ultimately start to tire again. If Kovs emotions run rampant, this will be an easier night for Ward. Also there will be no KD or KO in this fight. 8-4 Ward.
Favouring the better boxer of the two, that is Kovalev....probably won't get the decision again and judges in wards pockets.
Sergey is finishing him this time. Once he hurts SOB this time around... he's going to bomb him like we've never seen Kovalev do.
I thought Kovalev won comfortably the first time and will do so again, whether he gets the decision on American soil is a whole other matter.
I can only go by what I saw in the first fight. And that showed, Kov is a better boxer. He was robbed and he will get his revenge. Wards son of goat luck can only last so far. Kov by ko
