Kovalev vs Beterbiev

Beterbiev does not punch to the balls and does not have the referee Weeks to stop the fight for him, Beterbiev would not own the boxing commission like SOB did, not would have own the judges and don't forget the liar Bob Bennett............

 

Always used to back Kovalev in this one. I probably still would given Beterbiev's lack of relevant activity. I'd like to see both in against a semi-decent fighter to build up to this before making a judgement

Another stupid comment. Based on what? Kovalev already fought the best LHW for relatively peanuts. He knows Beterbiev very well from the amateurs. There were some Russian posters who actually saw their amateur bouts and they say Kovalev got robbed, he clearly beat Artur. I am sure Kovalev would like to fight him, but he is rumored to fight the winner of Barrera / Smith in the fall, which would be a very good fight as well.

 

Umhhh.. In his 30s, just changed trainers, coming off some shaky losses.. I don't think he's going to be the same force! The aura & sheen has diminished somewhat IMO Surely it takes time to adapt to a new trainer too!! I'd like to see GGG knock him out now.. Lol just playing. Beterbiev v Kovalev is still a huge LHW fight!! Two losses to him.. History between em!

 

I don't rate betebiev because he hasn't fought any top level fighters kovalev would have done the same against the opponents beterbiev has fought and IMO he might have won every round but he looked one dimensional and basic I think kovalev stops him late or on points

Beterbiev's punches are very powerful, and he is a cool-headed and methodical boxer (quite a rare quality for a Chechen, by the way).
And Kovalev is still to show his physical conditions in the upcoming fight against Shabranskyy. Maybe he will even lose to Slava somehow.

 

you'll have Kovalev lovers say this is a very easy fight and that he was robed in the ammys (without proof)
you have beterbiev supporters who say he will stop Kovalev easily. I honestly just flat out DON'T KNOW. but I think the fight will be less intresting than we think. different people **** on different things. Beterbiev looked fundamentally sound in his last fight good defence just boring. I think Beterbiev has the better pacing of the two. Beterbiev DOES have better power but his power is from the inside. I think Kovalev has the better jab of the two.

Despite the low blow/no low blow thing some of them WERE body shots and Kovalev did not take them well. but who knows how good beterbiev takes a body shot. and sure beterbiev threw a lot of punches his last fight. most were jabs, better jabs than I thought he had. and sure he lasted 12 looked like he could have went more.

When I run on a tredmill if I can control the speed I could be on it for hours no problems. thinking vs Kovalev would be draining not always going at the pace you want so who knows if beterbiev tank is as good as people think.

Both guys resumes aren't that great. Kovalevs best win is Pascal twice who has seen better days.
Beterbievs best win isnt even clear cut I mean if I say Cloud than I will say Cleverly for Kovalev timing of the fight meant everything they were washed up. I know Cleverly won a world title after but in a fight he was being dominated in and his rival separated his shoulder.

if Kovalev wins his next fight that might sadly be the best win any active 175lbs fighters has had.


Beterbiev vs Kovalev is a toss up and probably ends in a close decision.
though I think Kovalev fades late in a boring fight.
