Kovalev vs Calzaghe

What has Kovalev done which makes him any more special?

 

clazgahe relied on his chin to keep him in fights, because he lacked top defensive skills.


SOaking it up is not an option with KO4clev.

 

Super Joe was a great fighter, but I think Kovalev is all wrong for him.

 

Kovalev is flavour of the week

Calzaghe was flavour of the decade

Forgetting that Hopkins was around 6/7 years older in the Kovalev fight atsch

 

Kovalev has been dropped by lesser fighters. Thats a fact also. Kovalev was also taken to a SD by a journeyman.
How do you know Calzaghe doesnt have the power? When have you seen someone who has tried to back Kovalev up, because I dont think he is as effective the few times he goes back, where as Calzaghe could be effective going forward and back. I do rate Kovalev highly though

hint for future - if someone targets your hero with a nickname that recalls them getting destroyed when stepping up, then don't draw attention to the nickname. it does not improve your situation.

 

Hopkins worked calzaghie so take it from there. Calzaghie couldn't find Bhop and kovalev did.
