It may not matter but is Pascal sporting a thick beard for the rematch because he thinks it will cushion the blows?

There's no way a fluff of hair is going to have any tangible effect on the force of a punch.

Or it could just be him sporting what's "in" now but that's ludicrous of course he's grown the beard in an attempt to cushion Kova's blows this is ESB this site lacks conspiracy and hidden agendas so I'm sticking with the hair growth happening as a tactical advantage.

Not so fast. Let's think about this. The reason why people die less in car crashes is because there is a "crumple zone" which lessens the impact. Pascal is putting one of these zones on his chin. I do think for a fact that at SOME POINT in boxing history, someone's beard saved the fight for them. Maybe the beard takes off .1% of punch force, but maybe that .1% is the difference between stumbling backwards and regaining balance, and stumbling backwards and falling, giving the fighter a 10-8 round.

A beard could make a difference.

That being said I advise Pascal to really apply that rogaine to his chin area... He's gonna need it.

I told Lomachenko to do the same before the Salido fight (but not for his normal beard), he didn't listen. In fact, he actually shaved down there a week prior. Europeans are so **** metro. Probably cost him the fight.
