I think the most likely outcome is that Tarver respects Kovalev too much and gets outworked over 12.

But, I also think there's a decent chance Tarver catches Kovalev with a big counter like he did against Harding or finds some technical weaknesses to exploit and maybe wins a close decision.

    How does this go?

Who ever dropped Tarver? Hopkins scored a flash knockdown and I think he took a knee at the end against Harding due to injuries. but that's it.

Pascal had a history of poor stamina. It wasn't hard to see it coming. He also looks tense and uncomfortable in the ring whereas Tarver is a lot more professional.

Yeah, but like Tarver, no history of being stopped.

The defence "who ever stopped him?" is no longer valid, although in all honesty Kovalev's performance against Hopkins should have been warning enough of this.

Tarver stopped Jones, Chris Johnson, Danny Green, Harding and Banks all for the first time.

Tarver has a great chin, but Kovalev would get him out at some point late in the fight.

Well, I told you guys Kovalev has some of the scariest P4P power I've seen and would be the first to stop Pascal months ago. You laughed. And I'm telling you here he would be the first to stop Tarver.

Durability isn't enough, you need to be a first class survivor/spoiler defensive fighter to get away from this guy at the moment. I see a select few lasting the distance and a smaller number of elites actually beating him.
