No he did not. Power Puncher who thinks Hopkins beat Clazaghe ( Racy BS form PP, check the punch stats, and Hopkins was running in fumes ) said Tarver is a massive puncher. I can name plenty of light heavies that hit harder than Tarver. In fact three of them are active today in Kovalev, Stevenson, and Beterbiev.
I agree he had skills. It's the punch that you don't see that often hurts you. I just disagree with the view os some or one that he was a massive puncher.
Kovalev would put you too sleep with a punch you did see coming. :dead Sergey would have definitely kept a ko ratio above 85% had he thought dawson twice. apart from Hopkins and the heavyweights id fancy kova to ko most of the guys tarver couldn't.
