Kovalev vs. Shumenov.

    How does this one go? Shumenov is slow and hittable, but he can punch as well, and we don't know how well Kovalev can take a punch.

    Shumi is a strong LHW, but he is too stationary and slow, Kova would pick him apart badly

    Kovalev is a hardhitter in pro ranks
    Beterbiev was the hardhitter in the amateurs
    Now they are proffesionals in the LH division.

    The aggressive puncher Beterbiyev won the 2006 European Amateur Boxing Championships among others beating Irishman Kenneth Egan and Ismail Sillakh. He beat southpaw Egor Mekhontsev but lost to two-time world champion Evgeny Makarenko in 2006. He finally beat him in 2007 and qualified for the World championships. In the finals he faced little-known Uzbek southpaw Abbos Atoev but was upset.

    At the Olympics 2008 he beat Kennedy Katende 15:3 then fell controversially to local Zhang Xiaoping who went on to win.

    In Milan he beat young Cuban Jose Larduet and Uzbek Elshod Rasulov for the world championship 2009.

    Heavyweight 201lbs/91kg[edit]
    At the 2011 World Amateur Boxing Championships – Heavyweight he lost to eventual winner Oleksandr Usyk 13:17.

    At the Boxing at the 2012 Summer Olympics – Men's heavyweight he edged out Michael Hunter but lost again by 13:17 to Usyk.

    Professional career[edit]
    Beterbiyev won his professional debut via a second round TKO over Christian Cruz at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada on July 8, 2013.
