I have my doubts if he would fight Kovalev of Stevnson. He has hid in California for years. Right now those two, are two dangerous for him, unless he really wants to finally man up and fight one of these two at lhw. Most likely you are right though and he will avoid at all costs, or until one looks very beatable and then take that and in Oakland, of course.
Kovalev is a monster but I'd have to go with Ward. Too savvy and too skilled. Can change it around and fight at short, mid and long range.. all with equal effect.
It would have to be at 175, clearly. Kovalev will most likely be a cruiserweight, at some point. Whether Adonis Stevenson, could fight a catchweight is possible. We do not need any more of Ward draining a lhw, though.
Stevenson called out SOB Ward live on HBO, said he would fight Ward at 175 or even go down to 168, but Ward refused to fight him, just ran away and hid in his home town............... Kovalev would knock Ward out, but Ward would want the fight to be in his home town, with his personal referee, judges, boxing commission, etc., and Ward would want Kovalev to starve himself and come down to 168 or even lower. Ward is a cheater...........................Would Ward's referee have a baseball bat in the ring and hit Kovalev with it? I would not be surprised. Ward is afraid to fight outside his home town..................
Trout? Anyway Campillo beat Cloud (but got robbed) who was coming off a loss, Cleverly beat Bellew, and whilst Dawson was the best scalp in terms of resume he was coming off a bad loss and a long lay-off. In short, there's a case to be made for both. All we can be sure of is they've both had really good years and need to fight each other for LHW dominance.
KO by Kovalev theres different weights for a reason Ward would have to take warm up fights at light heavy first Kovalev would surely start as favourite, just like Ward would be favourite if Golovkin moved up to face Ward at super middle people on this forum dont seem to realise they are in different weight divisions
don't be fooled by kovalevs success. the guys he's been knocking out are chinny to begin with and aren't exactly defensive wizards. i'd favor ward in this match up.
