Kovalev vs Ward HBO Face Off cancelled as Ward no show

well ward did tell them he would go if they moved it to Oakland, so i think HBO are to blame

 

hate to break it to you king, but he always was one

 

I'm a fan of Ward in the ring, however there's a lot of evidence of
hubris and diva like behavior on his part outside the ring (and not just this).
It's your job to show up, show up.

Being "flakey" isn't a redeeming quality.

 

i think this type of behaviour may ensure ward doesn't get another contract with HBO after this unless roc nation are paying all the bills

 

Maybe his CA passport expired and he couldn't leave Oakland.

Well ive been a fan of him in the ring and still am but its getting harder to root for someone who acts like a complete ahole outside the ring. Its the main reason after being such a huge Floyd fan in the early part of his career i jumped off the bandwagon.

 

i respect what he has achieved in boxing, but i don't consider him some master boxer or some technician like a lot of people in boxing want to push on us

he is basically a high level spoiler, not a master boxer. When up against a decent boxer he can't win by outboxing him, he has to win by stopping the other guy from boxing and making it sloppy. he isn't a mayweather, he is more like an old bernard hopkins, dirty and terrible to watch but gets the job done most of the time

him vs kovalev is like Zinadine Zidane vs Phil Neville, some days Neville may be able to stop Zidane from playing he's game but he isn't a great footballer by any stretch of the imagination

 

So SK doesn't show up to the interview and ward doesn't show up for face off

Hate to say it but I wouldnt be at all surprised if POS Ward doesnt get another " Inflamed knee " & bail out of the fight. He doesn't want to fight Kovalev again that is obvious
