Well you recall incorrectly, he beat a guy who no one looks good against who is light years ahead of a worthless sparring partner like Brand, whose known for making guys look like hell, 10-2+KD. Try watching Chilemba a few times and see what level he actually operates on before writing him off as a tomato can, you race baiting casual.

Its easy to look as sharp as a banana when you're in with a D- fighter and by rating him D- I'm being generous.

And can you imagine what Kovalev would have done to that bum, look what Slava Shabranskyy did to Brand with head gear on, since we're posting footage and trying to make idiotic points on this thread.

What's this place come to when a fight prediction is made on their respective speed bag skills?
I'm amazed by the absolute faith in Ward on here and by the media ect cause to be honest none of us including Ward knows how good he is anymore,if he'd of faced Fonfara,Chilemba,Beterbiev and won in style then fair enough but I recall Ward not being happy with his performances of late,it was written all over his face.

    Excuse me while I.....

    LMMFAO

Chilemba dropped a decision to an 18-0 guy NOBODY has ever heard of in his fight immediately prior to Kovalev - and you Team TOMATO KAN Krusher nut huggers want to pretend as if Chilemba is the reincarnation of Glen Johnson? Lol. It should be clear as daylight to anyone reading that YDKSAB. Sad.

You mean the highly touted undefeated southpaw Eleider Alvarez, the guy who is Stevenson's mandatory, who he lost a MD to, that should have be a DRAW, like I said.....

    CASUAL

What is it with some folk on here trying to make out Kovalev is rubbish or something?
It's a 50/50 fight not unlike porter v Thurman or Frampton v Cruz, chances are it will be a close affair so just enjoy it.

It's well known Wards skills in the gym, can't remember who it was but just recently a British boxer said he could watch Ward all day long on the heavy bag, speed ball ect?

    LMAO.

Who has your "highly touted" Eleider Alvarez ever beaten? Hell, who has Isaac Chilemba ever beaten? And while we're at it, who has the TOMATO KAN Krusher ever beaten who wasn't already 50 years old? Lol..

Kovalev seemed to do ok here once he established a rhythm with those heavy gloves.

I can't really pick a winner until I learn who's better at skipping rope.

I'm sure Kovalev can keep his hands/arms up for twelve rounds right?

I don't think it's 50/50 fight, IMO this is 70/30 in favor of ward, he's much better boxer , better defence , better timing , skills. Anyway OP is an idiot, he's a complete moron , he's like teddy atlas ,his prefictions are always wrong , he was calling kovalev names and predicted easy win for Bhop before they fought, he thinks loma vs ruseel jr . was a draw .

Generally keeping your hands up and using them in tandem if you are hitting it with both hands. Speed bag work is all about rhythm. It is the least important boxing workout, honestly, but it does LOOK good when done properly. Also, as a poster said, it is harder to do it well while wearing gloves but assuming that Kov is used to those gloves, which he should be, it wouldn't affect him too much.

This video proves absolutely nothing as far as how the fight will look. None of the training exercises would.
