Andre Ward by a Unanimous Decision. Ward is smart and knows how to control a fight. Kovalev is far too dependent on that power right jab. He starts to throw it recklessly whenever he feels tired.

Whats is Wards weakness, someone tell me because he never does the same thing twice?

Kovalev by late KO. I've already written a small book on why.

Ward is the better boxer and technical fighter. Kovalev is good but people seem to forget that Andre Ward has greatness in him.

Wide decision for Ward. The drama in the fight is going to be around the midpoint where Kovalev knows he's going to lose wide and gets desperate.

Kovalev stops Ward, and it's gonna be less competitive as most expect it to be.

Kovalev, cautious the first half of the first round starts to bully Ward by the end of the round. As the early rounds goes by people are surprised how easy it is for Kovalev to smack him around on the inside and how comfortable Kovalev is at close range as Kov controls the distance and keeps up enormous pressure. Kovalev feints effectively making Ward jumpy and looking amateurish swinging wildly and Kovalev can't help but smile at Wards ineffective pitter patter estrogen heavy punches. Kovalev knocks Ward down in the 3rd round. The crowd gasps and Ward supporters start the excuses - Ward is too old, too inactive, unprepared. Kovalev meanwhile is looking technically sharp, slick and is throwing doomsday bombs. He is looking like a better fighter than Ward, with devastating power. Ward looks disheartened and beaten. Kovalev landing well on Ward as it goes on, finally ending in an 8th round TKO, with Ward soundly beaten in every possible way in a boxing match.

Ward on points in a close fight. I can see kovalev running out of ideas once he realises he's behind on the cards.

I'd like to see kovalev win but ward is a master spoiler.

Kovalev will leverage Andre's lack of power and therefore inclined to let his hands go, without immediate danger of being KO'd. This is enormous advantage. He will want to keep Andre at mid-range and not let Andre smother him or outrun/outpoint him on the outside.

Andre Ward can not stay in the mid-range for long or he will get KO'd. While 5 years ago I could see Andre dancing on the outside and scoring points, today's version of Ward is much more foot-heavy. I just don't think he can do that for 12 rounds anymore. He will give Kovalev some trouble on the inside because Andre is really good at playing dirty on the inside. But that's about it.

    Kovalev by KO 8-10 rounds.

By 'control a fight' do you mean clinching, grabbing, holding, and the occasional head butt? Because that is what Ward does. I suspect we get a stinker like the Calzaghe-Hopkins fight where Ward plays the spoiler role Hopkins did of not engaging and holding, clinching, wrestling all night. Hope I am wrong. If Ward fights within the rules he is getting Savagely KOed.

Ward ud. He will beat kovalev to the punch, will judge the distance and range perfectly hardly getting into the Russians range and will frustrate him . Intact it will resemble Floyd vs pacman in a way.
