This fight is drawing near, however the reception we got is just luke worm. Personally I think this fight will do around 300 to 400k.

It deserves to be on pay per view but in reality Ward has never sold anything out and Kovalev just isn't a star,it's a massive fight were it on free view though.

    400k tops I reckon

It's all on Kovalev, a Russian in the USA, so it could be quite low, Ward does not really sell because is not PPV material.

200k is a strong number given the current PPV climate and the lackluster promotion thus far.

    The fight deserves better.

If it does over 300k I'll be surprised.
But who cares about the numbers. Lets just be happy that we'll get to see two top5 P4P in their prime go at it.
Just like in the good old days.

No more than GGG's 150-200, bank on it.

Great matchup, but unfortunately none of this guys are massive draws, which is sad.

It is an evenly match up between top undefeated fighter. It's a pity it wasn't embraced more beside by the hardcores

I think this is pretty easy to predict.

I think that Andre Ward isn't much of a draw in the USA... He is somewhat well known though by boxing fans.

Kovalev is known by hardcore fans, but let's face it European fighters are a hard sell in the USA.

Based off of the pay per view wiki, I think a fight that somewhat represents this scenario is Jones-Calzaghe.

Calzaghe was a top P4P fighter at the time fighting a well known american. However, it was well known that both fighters were past prime. This fight did 225k buys. I think a figure around here will be similar. The things that might boost this is:

Sergey is a KO artist, casuals love that **** and remember those guys.
    Both fighters are prime.
    Both fighters are top P4P.

I predict about 300k to 350k buys... It should do better than Golovkin vs David L (honestly not even a good fight on paper did 150k), and Crawford vs Postol (actually a decent fight did 55k).

I think better than 300,000, also depends on how much the PPV costs, could be $100 which would be a mistake.............

It needs a proper marketing effort.

HBO seem content on focusing on Canelo and GGG but Ward-Kovalev could be marketed effectively and create new a viewership demographic entirely.
