Andre ward said it after the weigh in he said "with a guy like that you have to take his head and his body will follow". And I'll be damned if he wasn't 100% right. Ward is a brilliant fighter both in and outside the ring his mental toughness is without peer.:deal: like I said in my other thread titled "ward is the most mentally tough fighter since pbf". You don't beat a mentally tough guy like froch who in his own right has an iron will if you're not mentally tough. I knew ward had gotten into kovalevs head in the build up all the deniers were just wishful thinkers because they knew it to. Kovalevs false bravado with the hagler war hat another sign that he was trying to psych himself up when I saw that I knew he was done then.

Ward set this dude up and astute fans like me picked up on this. I don't think people realize that this was a legendary night he bullied the bully. He went eye to eye with a killer and made him blink.

Lastly you could tell kovalev didn't want to be there. When a guy turns his back to his opponent and constantly cries about borderline low blows he'd rather be somewhere else. If the fight had gone on I'm certain kovalev would have done a no mas and quit. He was just too mentally and physically beat to continue. Ward is a master a guy who just doesn't know how to lose and hasn't lost since He was 13.

Kovalev disappointed me. I always said GGG is way better than him. I was not only disappointed by his performance, but his behaviour as well. He wasn't acting classy, but stepped down to the niveau of Ward.

I knew he was not the killer he was supposed to be after the Hopkins fight. The Chilemba fight only proved that he is not elite.

I agree. Kovalev looked worse than the first fight. Ward was about to run away with it. I picked up on his mind games way back when they were negotiating but I thought it would back fire. Trusted my brains and went with Ward on my official poll pick.

But Ward was sharper, more defensively sound, and he looked like he was the only one to make adjustments. Kovalev didn't land a single big punch, he never hurt Ward.

I didn't like the way he looked while entering the ring Ward actually looked more relaxed and mentally focused

Kovalev seemed to tire really quick. I have no doubt that part of that was because of the adrenaline flowing through him. He was seething during the referee instructions just before the bell. Can't go into the ring so angry in such a competitive matchup.

Kovalev looked better in the first fight and Ward looked much stronger. Still I had Kovalev up again until stoppage. Ward nailed him with a good right hand and jumped on him. Great instincts. It was however a bad stoppage and the last blow did land low.
Kovalev didn't protest the stoppage and looked to be gassed out to me.

Kovalev couldn't land at all I was never a big kovalev fan I always said golovkin was a harder fight
    kovalev is one dimensional

For example he should of been able to knock out a 51 year old hopkins

All the wrestling he and Ward did wore him out. He was in bad shape for this fight and not prepared to go 12 rounds. Ward is just a bad match up for him because he tires out. GGG shouldn't be in this conversation.. Both fighters sleep him.

shall I post the link of the video of the final low blow, to prove you are deluded.... Or do you wanna just keep ignoring the truth. In a fair world, there wouldn't have even been a rematch as Kovalev comfortably won the first fight. You couldn't be more deluded., and you do seem racist and racially biased. How the hell could anyone not have GGG in the top 10 p4p , that is absolutely crazy!

By the way.. Ward is not Black ;) He's mixed raced. And you do realise he's in a division with Gvozdyk, Beterbiev, Bivol, etc.. and is talking about moving up to face Usyk, Gassiev, Lebedev, Breidis, etc. You might have got lucky with the judges and referee in the Kovalev fights, but being racially biased with Wards half blackness won't have a positive ending for you that I'm very sure of ;)

I'm calling it like I see it. Ggg has a trashcan resume and went life in death with a guy he was supposed to destroy.

Kovalev was done he turned his back he complained about borderline low blows. He was hurt by that right hand and never recovered. Had he not been stopped he would have quit he was done. Quit looking for an excuse to justify your hero's poor and mentally weak performance. Ward is the better man.

I'm a racist but you're trying to tell me ward isn't black. I and ward both live in America and here ward is black period end of discussion bitter troll coward alt.

you are saying Golovkin has a poor resume, but you don't claim Crawford and Rigo have poor resumes lol (it's all to do with race with you)

blah blah.. the last thing kovalev is .. is mentally weak. He moved to the other side of the world, fought his first 20 fights for free with no promoter and no american privilege, beating up yanks in their backyard.

Wards Father is white, his mum is black. So how the hell is he black? lol" calling him black is just as dumb as someone calling him white. How desperate can you be.
