It's disgusting, it's like those body shots in fight 1 never happened. It's like nobody can score a fight objectively anymore, even Harold Lederman is losing his touch. His reasoning for having Kova ahead 5 rounds to 2 is because he thought Kova was landing the harder shots and Ward is backing away.. wtf?

 

No. He tired quickly because Ward was catching him with some clean hard body shots early in the fight and it drained him badly and quickly. Watch the fight again WArd was catching him clean with 2,3 and sometime 4 solid body shot per round. IN an effort to stop this kov tried using the ref and complaining anything borderline was low and weeks at first went with it to make sure the fight didnt get dirty but he then realized what kov was doing and wasnt having it.

 

What I find ironic is that there are avid Mayweather fans on here cheering on and making excuses for Ward's low blows, yet bitched about Maidana rough housing Floyd.

Kovalev also threw well over 400 punches inside 8 rounds. That's a lot of punches for a guy who weighs close to 190 pounds. He punched himself out. Ward is a better technical fighter than Kova is. He had to try and out work him because he can't outbox him slow and methodically.

Ward threw less than 300 punches and he has better stamina.
