No doubt about it. I was watching him in that fight and I saw him breaking down, He realized that nothing that he was doing was gonna stop Ward. Ward was stronger and punching harder than the last fight. He was getting tired and frustrated and Ward was getting stronger. He probably was saying to himself," They told me that Ward would crumble under my power". People were not reading that because that is not what they wanted to see. They were too busy listening to Lampley and Lederman when they should have been listening to Roy Jones cause he saw it.

I thought rjj was excellent last night. I saw the same things that he saw to. I saw it slowly coming. Rjj is the best in the business with his insight he saw that before most did.

Kov was beaten already during the Press Conf. when he stormed out. I knew Ward won the mental game already and Kov was consuming all his energy on hate and losing focus.
From the 4th round, he was exhausted from all his hate/war/brawling mentality and Ward was so cool and took over until the fatal 8th round. The low blow is all BS. The reason it looked low is because Kov was ducking due to continuous body shots and lack of stamina. He was kneeling already specially after the solid right to his face.

The rest are just all noise from Kov's fans who can't handle the twice in row defeat.
I expect a lot more crying and excuses over the next 5-6 months until the crying fans gets totally exhausted like Kov and fade...

SOB should have been disqualified. Boxing is a sport, there are rules, no low blows, no headbutts, no elbows, no back hands, no holding, wrestling, etc., SOB does them all.................................Watch the video, one picture is worth a thousand words...........

At the time I had Kovalev up by 1, Ward was coming on strong and Kovalev was looking tired. His conditioning was worse than in their previous fight. Ward had already done decent body work but I don't think it was enough to have had him looking that jaded that early on.

Anyway, the stoppage really sucked. Firstly because it was just a bad stoppage (imo) but it's also taken away what would have *probably* been a clean win for Ward. So now this win is a little controversial too; it's helped no body. I think some of the shows from Ward were low too.

The ropes were holding Kovalev up, so that should have been given as a count instead of a stoppage. The ending ruined what was an enjoyable fight up until that stage for me. I'm not about all this "he should have low blow'd back" stuff either, fouls should be called - as should some of the grappling Kovalev was doing too.

Yes it is on tape, he was acknowledging the ref with the fist pump which was duly returned as when he first stepped in the ring before he went into his corner to pray to Satan for a false victory in his name.

I give Ward his due. He was clearly better prepared and neutralized a lot of Kovalev's offense but that stoppage was total garbage. This was a major fight and the stoppage just ruined the night.

Ward's team had him at his best and most focused.

Kovalev's team? I don't believe these guys were truly in his corner. There were a lot of bizarre preflight stories coming out of his camp. Ultimately the responsibility lays at Kovalev's feet. I think Ward is a lot smarter in the business aspect of running his own career.

Kov looks as if he's suffering from anemia.

When you have enemies in your corner and keep them hovering closely around you then you are cutting your own throat. Why doesn't he have Russian trainers and corner men? That KOV trainer acted as if he had won the lotto when Ward won.

Kovalev wanted to fire Jackson but Duva didn't allow him to do that.

Then he should get rid of her. Enemies can come up with many a diverse and ingenious ways to sabotage a fighter's career.
