Kovalev wasted his energy trying to do his best Wladimir Klitschko impression?

I hear a lot of people talking about Ward clinching during the fight. My question too you is, what fight were you watching. From the beginning of the first round it was obvious Kovalev wanted to operate from the outside. Everytime Ward got close to him he held him tight and tried to kneel on him. Majority of the clinches in the fight, were initiated by Kovalev.

Past the first half of the fight, it was obvious this tactic has taken it's toll on Kovalev's conditioning as he was unable to match the work rate that he had earlier in the fight. Combined with the body punches that Ward was applying able to even land the jab with which he had success earlier.

For the guys screaming robbery, you need to take you emotions out of it and try to understand what it is that you actually watching.

By the way I had the fight a draw.

I agree. Wlad perfected the technique of leaning over the other guy to prevent in fighting which takes much less energy then what kov was doing, lifting wards arms and body up.

That tactic of leaning on his opponent and clinching when they got close worked for Wlad most of his career until he fought Fury, who I think is taller than him. He needed to punch when they got close but kept grabbing him out of force of habit. Kovalev didn't use the same technique. He tied up Ward in a specific way as to prevent him from being able to punch at all. Ward refused to give up on the inside game and continued to force the issue. That forced Kov to tie him up more than he planned to, draining his energy. Ward fights inside a lot and was in the kind of condition to do it and Kov obviously wasn't. That's why he faded in the last couple of rounds.

We all know Kova won the fight as did everyone else besides the three American judges and Ward fanatics, the question is by HOW much did Kovalev truly win by?

80 percent of the western media had Kova winning, Brits are just an extension of American hegemony anyway so of course a small percentage would feel WARD WON.

Lol poor fanboy, the Krusher outboxed your hero and now you have to live with the fact that the American judges are responsible for his disgraceful victory.

He only started clinching in the mid-rounds when he fatigued; it wasn't full-on Klitschko vs. Povetkin status.

The judges TKO'd KOVALEV, Ward did not.

Minority people are so insecure. Ward lost and got a gift. Enjoy your gift and stop gloating about it.

Or maybe he did it because he knew Ward dived in head first to clinch and try to use his usual "veteran" tactics. Thought I had corrected you yesterday already.
