Kovalev: Why Do People Think I Can't Handle Body Shots???

Canelo doesnt hit hard enough to trouble kovalev, and doesnt have the punch output either

 

Low blows mixed with solid body shots. I believe ward is not the only one to hurt him to the body. I've heard old school boxing trainers say drinking alcohol makes your body weak but idk, he also has an old body with a lot of mileage on it so you can't rule that out. A 36 year old aint taking a body shot like a 22 year old could.

He sucked up some nasty bodyshots from Yarde, if he had a glass body he would have been stopped. Better punch reistance than advertised is one of the reasons I think he beats Canelo.

 

He has trouble with the right hand if anything. Ward just hit him with a three piece to the go nads that Andrew Golota would have been proud of. If ward was from Poland he would have been dqd.

 

Kovalev was turning his back and looking for help from the ref afterna few CLEAN beltline shots before any low blows even took place. Kovalevs trunks were up around his nipples for a reason he knows he doesn't like getting hit with body shots

 

It comes from three sources, probably. 1. rumours GGG dropped him to the body at Big Bear. 2. Ward and the nutcracker affair 3. Snake Jackson suggesting it was a weakness.

So Canelo thinks he hits as hard as GGG, and he defeated the tall Fielding by bodyshots. Then he hears Kovalev can't take bodyshots. His brain is telling him he just needs to get inside and bash Kovalev to the body. The funny thing is, Ward and Snake's hostility towards Kov and the constant reference to his weakness and lack of fortitude probably got Kovalev this payday.

 

Seems like Kovalev is the one laughing all the way to the bank..
Some here like to paint him as a bully who cannot take what he dishes out.. somehow of a mentally weak fighter.. can’t be further from the truth I think.. Kovalev came back after being stopped twice and after nearly cut in half in the Yarde’s fight, his mental and punch resistance are ok.

 

Kovalev can make his mouth say anything but he is definitely weak in the body and Canelo will be in them guts from round one.
