It was naive to think that just give Kovalev another fight on a short notice and he will be fine...

 

I believe this was a significant factor. Didn't find out about the rehydration clause until after I was watching the broadcast. That was primarily my own fault for blocking out the news for a few days, but they were still a bit opaque about this clause being revealed.

Hopefully every other LHW will realize now that Alvarez doesn't need that stipulation at all (following last night's result).
